What is Islam about

Hi, this is Jacob de Villiers. I discovered Islam. What?... you might ask? What's an Afrikaner doing being a Moslem? He probably married a moslem girl hey. No, not so. I found something deeper and is now understanding reality. In otherwords, I came out of the unrreal world I have been living in. Let me share the following experience with you.

Quranic Proof o fthe marriage of Maryam

Message
Please see the Quranic proof that Maryam actually did marry and subsequently conceived a child WITHIN wedlock. No miracle.  Just ordinary works of nature.

The Quran states in Surah Maryam the following:  And I quote several translations:

She asks the question:

Maryam 019:020
[QXP] She said, "How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me? For, never have I been a loose woman!" (3:46), (19:28).

Then she gets an answer....

Maryam 019:021
[Yusuf Ali] He said
: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us': It is a matter (so) decreed."

[Pickthal] He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained.

[Arberry] He said, 'Even so thy Lord has said: "Easy is that for Me; and that We may appoint him a sign unto men and a mercy from Us; it is a thing decreed."'

[Shakir] He said: Even so; your Lord says: It is easy to Me: and that We may make him a sign to men and a mercy from Us, and it is a matter which has been decreed.

[Sarwar] He said, "This is true but your Lord says, "It is very easy for Me. We have decided to give you a son as evidence (of Our existence) for human beings and a mercy from Us. This is a decree already ordained."

[Khalifa] He said, "Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me. We will render him a sign for the people, and mercy from us. This is a predestined matter.' "

[Hilali/Khan] He said: "So (it will be), your Lord said: That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah). "

[Hilali/Khan revised] He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' "

[Malik] The angel replied: "So shall it be -Your Lord says: `It is easy for Me. We wish to make him a Sign for mankind and a blessing from Us’ - and this matter has already been decreed."[21]

[QXP] The angel answered, "Thus it is; but your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, so that We make him a symbol for people and a grace from Us. (A symbol of belief and disbelief, with the grace of Revelation). And it is a thing decreed." (
3:46-47).

[Maulana Ali] He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord says: It is easy to Me; and that We may make him a sign to men and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter decreed.

[Free Minds] He said: "It is such that your Lord has said, it is easy for Me. And We shall make him a sign for mankind and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already ordained."

[George Sale] Gabriel replied, so shall it be: Thy Lord saith, this is easy with Me; and We will perform it, that We may ordain him for a sign unto men, and a mercy from Us: For it is a thing which is decreed.

[JM Rodwell] He said: "So shall it be. Thy Lord hath said: 'Easy is this with me;' and we will make him a sign to mankind, and a mercy from us. For it is a thing decreed."

[Asad] [The angel] answered: "Thus it is; [but] thy Sustainer says, `This is easy for Me;" and [thou shalt have a son,] so that We might make him a symbol unto mankind and an act of grace from US.-16 And it was a thing decreed [by God]:

All the quoted translations agree that the Angel said that something will be.  "So it will be"!

Now let us ask ourselves the question, What is it that will be?

What is meant that “It will be”

It clearly means that something will  happen!

So, we further ask, what will happen?

Here we only have two possibilities, viz, the lawful & the unlawful,. No third possibility is indicated by the said verse.

Maryam said, "How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me? The angel replied: "So shall it be", or “So (it will be)” that is a man will touch her lawfully.

Clearly Maryam will marry a man & that man will “touch” her. So simple! A positive approach, because she was not a loose woman, as the Quran states that "For, never have I been a loose woman!" (3:46), (19:28).

So simple, no unusual occurrence, no miracle at all.
